The Country Cooking Company was founded by Stephen Hennessy in 1994, to fill a gap in the Irish market for those who wanted their ready meals to be proper meals.   His solution was The Country Cooking Company and the first range of frozen roast dinners available on the Irish market designed to appeal to those who were working late but wanted to have a proper meal when they returned home no matter what time of day.

The Country Cooking Company uses real chefs to make their dinners which gives them their real feeling of a home cooked meal.  Our head Chef Padraig knows what proper food looks like and what good food tastes like.  His dinners are made in the country way, with delicious gravy , real potatoes and freshly cooked vegetables.  Prepared freshly everyday at The Country Cooking Company where everyone believes that freezing them fresh is nature’s best way of preserving flavours, colours and vitamins and sealing in nutrition.

The Country Cooking Company is located in Carrick on Shannon Co. Leitrim, from here we have access to the best food in the North West of Ireland, with guaranteed freshness and superb quality.  Our local suppliers work with us to provide us with the best products all  year round so no matter when our meals are made you can be guaranteed exceptional quality.
